NetBeans 6.0 l10n-kit (English files for localization)

Notes for l10n-kit at 6.0

• Before you start, please read 5.5.1 workflow carefully to understand how to translate
• All packs will be into one product at NetBeans 6.0
• All packs will be opensourced, which means we're allowed to localize all packs!!
• NetBeans Profiler has been merged into NetBeans IDE
• So, l10n-kit itself will be complicated, it's not simple but nine zip files will be provided per pack. See download sections.
• If your team starts translation before English NetBeans 6.0 release (Nov), l10n-kit will be updated twice or three times so you also need to update your translated files.

L10n-kit

Please decide which packs you want to localize. There are some dependencies among the packs, here are the samples.

• If you want just Platform, please download Platform message l10n-kit.
• If you want Java IDE, you need Platform, Base IDE and Java SE l10n-kit. Please see the dependency in the table.
• You can download Combined l10n-kit
• If you want UML, you need to finish the localization of Platform, Base IDE and Java SE.

• If you decide to localize everything, just pick up Entire l10n-kit, please note that it's huge!!

• l10n-kit is OmegaT based project and projects are provided per directory. Please open it via OmegaT. Or if you don't use OmegaT, please find English files under sources/ folder.

6.0.1 final (2008/01/07)

This is final l10n-kit for NetBeans 6.0.1. There are small updates from NetBeans 6.0 (2007/11/15) l10n-kit. If there is no updated files in your target folder, please ignore and continue to use the previous l10n-kit. If you find updated files in your translated files or in your target folders to be translated, please pick up them and re-generate the target files.

Again, update is small, so you can just pick up updated files from Updates col and put it into your OmegaT source folder.

There was an update after l10n-kit creation. See Base IDE. Update happened on 2008/01/08. There is one file but I didn't put it into l10n-kit. So please pick up 080108-baseide.updated.zip separately and put it into your source folder. File name is

ide/registration/src/org/netbeans/modules/registration/Bundle.properties

Other updates happend for branding and installer. So please pick up 080109-baseide.updated.zip separately and put them into your source folder. Files are

ide/welcome/src/org/netbeans/modules/welcome/resources/Bundle.properties
installer/engine/src/org/netbeans/installer/wizard/components/actions/netbeans/Bundle.properties

In installer/engine/src/org/netbeans/installer/wizard/components/actions/netbeans/Bundle.properties, the following line has been added but it should not be translated.
