Stable Module Criteria and Process

Mission Statement

Specify criteria for NetBeans modules available from NetBeans Update Centers.

The NetBeans Update Centers content management process document provides more information about the Autoupdate content management.

NetBeans Update Center Beta

No P1	Module itself doesn't contain any stopper.
Don't break existing functionality	All tests from Tests Distribution have to pass.
Check on Target Platforms	Tests functionality on target platforms (should match with supported platforms).

NetBeans Stable Update Center

No P1, No P2	Module itself doesn't contain any high-priority issue.
Internationalization	Module has to be internationalized (look at i18n.netbeans.org)
Provide & Run Tests	Module owner provides and runs Test Specification or Automated Test Suite on target platforms (should match with supported platforms).
Maintenance	Module owner has to maintain the module to be sure it is working in appropriate releases of NetBeans.
