How to improve graphics of DnD on Mac OS X 10.5 (Leopard) with Quartz switch?

It is possible to run NetBeans with the switch -J-Dapple.awt.graphics.UseQuartz=true which can improve graphics on Mac OS X. Dragging of NetBeans windows is significantly better with this switch. For example editor tabs dragging can be smarter - instead of moving ugly black rectangle the real window caption is visible during repaint.
