How can I import projects from other IDEs?

Project importers are available for Eclipse and JBuilder IDEs. (See for example EclipseToNetBeans.) If you use another IDE you can still open the sources easily in NetBeans in case you are using ant for building your project.

There is an import guide available for importing Java SE projects into NetBeans.

In case you are using Maven to build your project, you can open the project easily in NetBeans using Maven plugin. Maven plugin is available directly via Plugin Manager in NetBeans IDE 6.0 and newer.

If you are using a proprietary build system we suggest you to create a new project in NetBeans and copy the sources from your IDE into the new project directory. If your project requires any build setup you will need to set up the build proces manually.
