How can I run IRB with native Ruby in NetBeans 6.0?

In NetBeans 6.0 IRB is always run with JRuby, even if the IDE is configured to use some other Ruby runtime. There are deep technical reasons for that, primarily because the readline (arrow up/down, completion on tab support etc) isn't possible in the output window. We'll try to attack solving this in the next release.

In the meantime, after the 6.0 code freeze a new feature was added. If the IDE is run with this flag:

-J-Druby.irbconsole=true

It will not change the behavior of Window > Other > IRB, but if you right click on plain Ruby projects, there is now an "IRB" item in the menu which will run the IRB console in the output window just like the Rails console for Rails projects.
