Would NetBeans consider a commercial support agreement with us for a particular version of the IDE?

Yes, commercial technical support is available for the NetBeans IDE. Sun Microsystems has offerings Sun Developer Expert Assistance (DEA) for per-incident code-level support, or Sun Software Service Plans (S3P) for Developers for escalation of defects for NetBeans. Free community support: In general, support questions concerning the IDE are answered for free on the NetBeans mailing lists, but no guarantee is offered as to the veracity or promptness of anyone's answer (whether by Sun employees or community members). Also, the support team's blog has tips on how to use NetBeans effectively and become more productive.
