How to pass command line arguments to a Netbeans Platform application when run inside the IDE

In contrast to "normal" Java projects there is currently (Netbeans 6.0) no way to pass command line arguments to Netbeans Platform applications when run inside the IDE (as there is no Properties (from project context menu) -> Run configuration screen. To solve this problem, you have to add run.args.extra=myargument to the file nbproject/project.properties in your module resp. suite folder.

For example: (changes the look and feel under Linux to Metal)

/home/kai/workspace/mysuite/nbproject/project.properties:
run.args.extra=--laf javax.swing.plaf.metal.MetalLookAndFeel
