How do I get import component libraries and add them to the Palette?

To display a component library in the Palette, you just first import its complib file into the IDE, then add it to a project. Imported complibs do not display in all projects, only in projects to which they have been added. To import a component library:

  1. Select Tools > Components > Library Manager. In the Component Library Manager dialog, click Import.
  2. Browse for the complib file you have downloaded and click OK. The IDE displays the complib's files. Click Close.
  3. In the Project window, expand the project's node, right-click Component Libraries, and choose Add Component Library.
  4. In the Add Component Library dialog, choose the component libraries you want to add to your project and click Add Component Library.
Component libraries already added to the project do not appear here. Click the Manage Component Libraries button and open the Component Library Manager to see which libraries you have added to the IDE and to add another library.

When you open a page of your project in the Visual Designer, you can see the new components in the Palette under the category defined by the component library. You can drag and drop the new components from the palette onto the Visual Designer and with these components just as you work with the components supplied with NetBeans Visual Web Pack.
