Introduction: This document serves as a sanity test specification for Embedded Browser - it should cover most important features of EB functionality.

Test suite: Basic scenarios

Purpose: Test basic functionality of Embedded Browser (EB)

  1. Set Embedded Browser
    1. Go to main menu Tools | Options
    2. In Web Browser dropdownlist select Embedded Mozilla Browser and push OK
    3. Click on Take a Tour link in the Start Page
  • EXPECTED RESULT:
    Embedded Browser is opened as new tab in editor area and Tour page displayed".
  1. Enter URL
    1. In address field of EB enter "www.netbeans.org" and press "Enter"
  • EXPECTED RESULT:
    netbeans.org page is displayed
    
  1. Test Back Button
    1. In EB click backarrow icon
  • EXPECTED RESULT:
    Previous Tour page is displayed (there's issue 169120 pending actually)
    
  1. Test Forward Button
    1. In EB click forwardarrow icon
  • EXPECTED RESULT:
    netbeans.org page is displayed again (there's issue 169120 pending actually)
    
  1. Clone window
    1. Right-click on Web Browser tab header and select Clone Document.
  • EXPECTED RESULT:
    New EB tab with the same contents as original is created.
      
  1. Align EB tab in IDE
    1. Go to main menu Window
