In the early 1990s, a small group of people from Sun Microsystems were given the opportunity to spend all of their time thinking about what the next big thing in technology would be. That idea turned out to be Java, and it was an idea as big as technology itself. Everywhere the team looked, they could visualize new applications, new markets and new industries.
