Release Themes
The main themes of NetBeans IDE 7.0 will be the following:
JDK 7
JDK 7 became a new release driver. NetBeans 7.0 should ship with JDK 7 Beta, all new language extensions should be supported, aka project Coin.
Java EE, Web tier and Web languages
The main focus will be improving Java EE quality and enhancing supported servers list. There should not be user visible deviance in using different Java EE servers.

Oracle DB support
- Overall improvements in user experience and functionality for Oracle DB driver as well as similar improvements for MySQL
Performance
For the performance area, the main focus will be on issues involving scanning, features availability (such as navigation, code completion etc.) and detecting external changes. There will be also significant improvements in slowness diagnostics (slowness detector and Profile Me Now!)
Quality
The main focus will be concentrated on key IDE areas, such as Core, Editor and Java EE with important focus on performance. See more details in dedicated section below.

- Word wrap - finish 6.9 work.
- Maven 3 integration
- JUnit improvements
- GIT support, in early access, AU only (preview)
