NetBeans plugins for Apache Hadoop
A Hadoop plugin for Netbeans is available from http://www.hadoopstudio.org/. It supports development of map-reduce jobs in a visual environment which emulates a Hadoop cluster on the desktop, and creates .jar files which can be deployed to the cluster as normal.
The plugin supports extensive job and cluster monitoring, and can browse HDFS like a normal filesystem.
