Moving JAX-RPC developent support to Netbeans update center
This documents describes the scheduled move of JAX-RPC support in Netbeans to Update center.
We will be removing the JAX-RPC libraries and development support modules into a separate plugin JAX-RPC Web Services, which will be available from the Update Center. All the JAXWS functionality will be kept as it is.
Most of the menus corresponding to JAX-RPC based web services will not be present in the default installation. In other cases user will be prompted to install the JAX-RPC plugin. Once the plugin is installed and activated, JAX-RPC support will work seemlessly.
Existing projects which may have JAX-RPC Web Services or clients will not recognize those, in case no JAX-RPC plugin is installed. The build will fail for these projects. This is a known issue and we will need to show a missing reference warning.
The plugin will be available from Stable Update Center and Beta Update Center soon. The nbms will be part of nightly nbm builds starting Sept 26th.
The nbms generated from development build dates Sept 25th are attached.
