L10N

Since release 7.2 (as a result of fixing Issue 201433) you can generate your L10N (read localization) bits of NetBeans Platform as well as NetBeans IDE by mounting the l10n repository underneath the sources one. E.g.

$ hg clone http://hg.netbeans.org/main-golden/ nball
$ cd nball
$ hg clone http://hg.netbeans.org/releases/l10n/
$ ant build -Dlocales=cz,ja,ru,pt_BR,zh_CN
$ ant tryme

at the end you'll get your favourite IDE localized into all of the above languages. Read more about working with the sources at DevFaqAccessSourcesUsingMercurial.

Of course you can choose any locales you want.

Single module

You can make changes in a single module and then just:

$ ant -f core.windows/build.xml clean netbeans -Dlocales=cz,ja,ru,pt_BR,zh_CN
$ ant tryme

Replace core.windows with directory of the module you made changes in.
