Overview

Two open-source software development projects - netbeans.org and fedoraproject.org have been joined since integration of the NetBeans 6.1 into Fedora 10 as the feature.

Fedora uses Red Hat Package Manager (RPM) to managing the all own software components. Distribution the NetBeans for Fedora is also provided as a set of the packages in the RPM format.

Features

Implementation of the the NetBeans RPMs establishes some features additionally to the "traditional" features of the NetBeans or modifies existing ones.

There is a set of the packages that have been included into the Fedora Package Database additionally to already existing ones to resolve dependencies that are necessary for Small IDE Configuration:

  • appframework -- Swing Application Framework
  • beansbinding -- Beans Binding (JSR 295) reference implementation
  • freemarker -- FreeMarker template engine
  • ini4j -- Java API for handling files in Windows .ini format
