Why can't I open a form and IDE reports a message: "Unsupported form file version: 1.4. The form cannot be opened." ?
You probably try to open your form in an IDE which is not updated with "GUI Builder Update Pack". This pack is done for NetBeans 5.5 and is available on NetBeans Update Center Beta. For installation instructions and feature description see the update page.
If you run up against this problem, it is sufficient to install this pack and then your form file should be opened in your IDE without any problems.
