How Do I Secure My MySQL Password?

Since NetBeans 6.9 IDE uses Keyring API for secure storing MySQL password.

Older releases

In NetBeans, you can opt to save the password you use to connect to the MySQL Server (the MySQL node under the Databases folder in Services).

This password is stored in your file system, and we recommend securing it using file system permissions.
