What is Pack 200 and why I need it in Java Web Start?

Pack 200 is new compression format, it is used for Java deployment of applications and applets, to increase server and network availability and band-width. With this technique the compressed JAR files are transmitted over the network and the receiving application decompresses and restores them. So if you wish to publish your Java Web Start application in the web you may want to decrease jar file sizes to increase band-width by compressing it with Pack 200. To do it enable "Compress JAR's with Pack 200" checkbox in Project Properties after enable Web Start, and compressed jar files will be created together with jar files after build of the JavaFX application.
