There is an issue filed on this problem. http://www.netbeans.org/issues/show_bug.cgi?id=100135
This is not a bug since it works as designed. The issue is that the emulator doesn't display/allow user to enter application URL but rather NetBeans installs and run application automatically.
To verify AMS functionality run AMS out side NetBeans.
