How can I import projects from other IDEs?

A project importer is available for Eclipse: EclipseToNetBeans. If you use another IDE you can still open the sources easily in NetBeans in case you are using Ant for building your project.

There is an import guide available for importing Java SE projects into NetBeans.

If you are using Maven to build your project, NetBeans provides integrated support for Maven projects and you can open projects directly.

If you are using a hand-written Ant script, AutomaticProjects may be helpful.

If you are using a proprietary build system we suggest you to create a new project in NetBeans and copy the sources from your IDE into the new project directory. If your project requires any build setup you will need to set up the build process manually.
