How do I install and use Subversion in NetBeans 5.0?

1. Install VCS generic support from the IDE's Update Center (Choose Tools > Update Center).
2. Install Subversion profile support.
3. Register A new svn versioned directory via the Versioning Manager.
4. Switch to the Favorites window (Ctrl-3) and add the directory you setup as your local working directory.
5. Select this directory and invoke "SVN Local | Check out."
6. Open the project.
