FaqAntJunitJar

I am using an optional task such as FTP and it says it cannot create a task definition, and to check my classpath. What did I do wrong?

Check the online help and the Ant manual. You need to download ftp.jar (or whatever) and edit Additional Classpath in Ant settings in the Options dialog to include it. This applies to all tasks in ant-*.jar which need some additional library, as listed in the Ant online manual.

Recent versions of Ant no longer require junit.jar to be in Ant's own classpath to run <junit>, but the JAR must at least be in the <classpath> passed to the task.
