Netbeans 6.1 - Custom Components Data Binding
Abstract
This document is overview of new Visual Designer subset of custom components for Visual Designer. Major functionality of new custom components should be easy to use connectivity of UI with any kind of data sources. Creation of connectivity between custom components and data source should be done completely in visual environment (Visual Designer 2) using Property Editors and drag and drooping.
Motivation
Motivation is to create subset for designing real JavaME applications targeted mostly to corporate users, but helping also other types of users with certain tasks.
Functionality
New Data Binding Components should be a subset of MIDP 2.0 components and SVG components (where possible) and should utilized Data Binding libraries which are already part of the Netbeans 6.0
