NetBeans 6.0 M9 / Preview Quality Criteria

This page defines quality criteria for M9 alias JavaOne Preview

For M9 / Preview we need to have all P1s fixed. There will be a waiver process running for P1s which are considered to have a low impact on users (e.g. API fixes,...). This does not mean that other priority bugs are not fixed at all for M9/Preview.

P1 bugs waived for M9/Preview will be marked with keyword 6.0_PREVIEW_WAIVER.

High Resistance

In order to better stabilize 6.0 M9 / Preview we will utilize High Resistance process. Only stoppers can be fixed at High Resistance.
  1. High Resistance starts on Tue, April 24th 8:00am CET time in trunk.
  2. M9 (release60-m9) branch is created on Thu 4/26 10:00am-2:00pm Prague time and used for HR integrations. Trunk is open for normal work.
  3. Bug to be fixed during High Resistance has to be sent to reviewers@netbeans.org with description
  4. If there are no objections in 24 hours after post to reviewers@netbeans.org then bug is integrated into M9 branch.
